It didn't work? I always use loose tea! Just throw 1 tsp loose per mug of hot water, let steep about 3 minutes in boiling, and drain. I usually use our coffee press.
But therein lies the problem - too many tealeaves in contact with too much water for too long - and I poured it straight away. Guess I don't really like the taste of tea ;0) India
hmmm, there is a gadget out there to help you, coz moi aussi,I prefer the leafy ( and herbal) kind over the bagged kind of tea. It's a metal spoon-cum-pincer in which you can add just enough tea for one mug, I LURVE IT!
Resist the creepy gadgets which don't let your tea leaves float around, as they ought: just add 1 tsp of loose-leaf tea per cup of boiling water, let steep 3-5 minutes, and you're there. 3 minutes for green tea, 4 for oolong, 5 for plain black. Done deal, no problem, no silly gadgets, and great tea!

Hah!
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how happy we were when our loose leaf tea arrived from home - this tea from a bag business is just ... well, sad.
