I also decided to supplement my English library books with some German ones, too.
Comics are good because the language (tends) to be simpler and the pictures help a lot with the context. I decided a 'novel' was aslo required and when I was a youngster, I read a lot of Enid Blyton. I'm just wondering how 'Lashings of cherry cake and ginger beer will be translated into German....;0)
And of course, I can never have too many cookery books.Hiltl is a famous vegetarian restaurant here in Zürich (the oldest in Europe, apparently), and I have been thinking about buying this book for some time. Let's see how I get on with it in German.
PS - for the English speakers amongst us, I think 'Lust' would be translated as 'enthusiasm' or something like that, rather than the, erm, obvious translation ;0)
