You might want to skip this.

It isn't really gross, but still...

I had my lactose-intolerance test today. It seems that I'm not. Lactose-intolerant. All I can say is that there's a mighty amazing placebo effect going on when I take lactase. It'll take me a while to get my head round this.

Anyway, my GI consultant managed to amaze me today. He needed me to explain to him why I didn't really want to have a colonoscopy. Yes, really.


  1. Ick! Poor you. Did you manage to explaine clearly to him....

  2. Hi there... now you probably know a whole lot more about this than me, but I read a book when my kids were first diagnosed with "Cows milk allergy" which explained that lactose intolerance was not the same thing as an immunological reaction to lactose, so maybe this is behind it...?
